Enhale’s technology..safely cleaning the air you breathe.

Enhale’s technology recreates those levels of ions within all indoor environments to achieve the same odor and pathogen control mother nature provides.  Our patented needlepoint bi-polar ionization cold plasma technology produces the same ions that are found naturally in the atmosphere resulting in a reduction in airborne particles kills virus, bacteria & mold in the space.

What is an ion you may ask?

An ion is a molecule that is positively or negatively charged, meaning that it has electrons to give or needs electrons to become uncharged, thus becoming stable. Enhale’s technology has been 3rd party tested, produces ions that are already in our natural environment and creates no ROS or undesired byproducts like PCO technologies.

Enhale’s technology generates the same ions as Mother Nature creates with lightning, waterfalls, ocean waves, and the like. This is nature’s way of using energy to break apart molecules to clean the air naturally to creating a healthy environment. The only difference between Enhale’s technology and Mother Nature is that Enhale’s technology does it without developing detectable ozone. 3rd party testing by UL and Intertek/ETL to the UL 867 ozone chamber test confirmed ozone levels less than 0.00PPM!

How Enhale’s Ionization Differs from PCO Technology

Unlike Enhale’s Bi-polar ionization method, Photo Catalytic Oxidation (PCO) technology uses UV light, commonly with titanium dioxide (TiO2) and often with other alloys, to create ionization. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has warned of cancerous risks involved with TiO2* – not something you want in a building’s air quality!

Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) technologies chemically manufacture ions using UV radiation shined onto either Titanium Dioxide (Ti02) or a combination of TiO2 and other metals to create a catalytic reaction. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) provided Current Intelligence Bulletin 63 to inform the general public as well as requesting any manufacturers using Ti02 to inform their employees and clients of the cancerous risks involved with Ti02. PCO technology generates high levels of ozone as well!

ASHRAE issued a position document in January 2015 on Filtration and Air Cleaning where they cautioned UV lamps used in many PCO devices can emit significant ozone – known to be harmful for human health. They also observed and reported on page 9 of the document “…potential of an incomplete oxidizing process, which produces by-products of reaction that can be more toxic or harmful than the original constituents (i.e. formaldehyde). The catalysts can be contaminated (poisoned) by airborne reagents and/or products of oxidation, which results in reduced or total efficiency failure of the process.” Lastly, the PCO approach requires the replacement of the UV cell every year or two. Enhale’s technology bi-polar ionization requires no replacement parts, and on the self-cleaning applications, they are virtually maintenance free.
